UV coating sounds high tech, but it’s not that complex. It is a varnish applied to paper or cardstock. This varnish is applied coat color-printed paper to seal their color and add some shine. UV coating can be applied to the whole page, or just to certain areas – a process commonly referred to as “spot” UV coating. In either process, the UV coating has the potential to deepen the color of the print, so when you use it in print projects, it’s a good idea to take this into consideration. A UV coating can really make your printed piece stand out from your competitors. The UV coating gives any printed material a high gloss shine in whatever shape or design you chose, and it makes your marketing piece extra durable, giving it a longer lifetime to be seen by more people. Consider a UV coating for your next print piece.
